Good Happy TuesdaY!!!!! We survived the storms but more rain in the forcast today hopefully not stormy like last week. Sometime this week insurance people will make there stop and acess the damage. I have been having fun painting on paper love this sturdy mixedmedia paper, all I do is Gesso it then ready to paint and doodle on:O) Only thing is I will either have to just sell with no frame or with frame  have not decided on some. Anyhoo~ Off to spruce up my booth and finish some more small paintings and jot down my dreams and plans:O) Have a great day filled with Creating, painting, icecream and fun:O)!!!!! Stormy May Weather

We had a mini Tornado I say!!! Weather dept say's no but the sky turned black and green and the wind and hail and rain where awful!!!! So scary for me and my doggie my oldest was home but calm as a cucumber:O) And he said to remind him to never be in a storm with me again:( Ugh I am scared of storms!!!! Me and my doggie where basket cases. The patio was ruined and tree branches big ones ended up in our front yard from our tree's in the back!!! Lot's of damage in this town, one more coming here soon and then great weekend for cleaning it all up!!! Gotta Go be safe!!! Be creative:O)

MAY Already!!!!!

Happy MAY!!!! Hard to believe we are on May 4th!!!! Time is flying and summer will be here with desert temps!! We just had a cool front on May 1st and it was a doozy but much needed cool temps:O) Couple of weeks school will be out ! I have been doodleing on paper mixed media paper and I LOVE it works just a sgood as canvas and wood. The above will be availabel soon and will come framed:O) Have a great weekend and enjoy the day be CreaTive!!!!:O)

Beauty in Eye of the Beholder

Monday Monday! I have only cleaned and produced No Art:( I have been on the net catching up and just taking it slow. This weekend I strolled down market days in a nearby town with the hubby and then later with my friend. We decided to visit some shops and ask if they would carry our treasures, her jewles and my art. I am shy and she is not i would really never think of doing this on my own. We visited a nice wine place and the lady a friend of my friend said Yes and offered me a spot and ideas for some of her glasses and aske for me to participate in an Art fest she was hosting with another lady only for art, I was happy and said sure but no jewelry so my friend wanted to ask the other lady if she would allow her to show. We went and visited her and the lady said NO and took a look at some pieces I had with me and said NO that my art was considered Arts and Crafts not art and pointed to a landscape and said that kind of art on canvas. I paint on both but prefer wood. Let us just say she was RUDE and apparently needs to look at her RULES because NO where does it say anything like that. I think I was in shock and my friend too because we politely left then fumed!! I posted on my FB page and fumed some more. I always hesitate to do shows for one because I am shy and also you are baring your soul to strangers, it has taken me alot to do a BLOG and FB and share my art with the world and to submit and then have her be sooo rude almost brought me down and go into hiding. But I am strong and refuse to let anyone bring me down anymore and refuse to let her win.It is sad that she teaches some art and hoping not to kids I would hate for her to discourage anyone who is just starting there journey and developing there own style. I consider anyone creating an artist mixed media, abstract any form and on any substrate, she seriously is narrow minded .Well had to vent and vent I have :O) I am more determined to submit more art and get published to show her but really because it is what I want and to continue on my whimsical style:O) Today has been slow moving here just cleaning slowly and enjoying searching the web and reading doodleing and relaxing some. i hope you have a great week full of joy, kindness, chocolate, paint, fun and Peace:O) I am off to dust one part of the room:O)

Life

First of all my heart breaks for all the tragedy that is happening here. Boston bombing such  a tragedy. In town a high school student shot himself and is in critical condition, because he felt lost and was being bullied. A small town near by West Tx had a major explosion at a fertilizer factory many injuries the sink hole in Chicago prayers for all. The weather today is rainy and cold:( but we need rain and a good day to paint and clean. Above is my new cow she looks like a Nancy Moo is her name:O) Love painting cows and animals in my whimsical and yummy colors:O)Be safe and hug loved ones take care enjoy every moment paint and eat Chocolate:O) Hugs Isabel

I attended my Friends Marta's Antique Spring Show this weekend, I was the only art vendor. It was a great weekend great weather and I always hesitate to do shows because I am terrified of people looking at my art and just wondering what they are thinking. But I got lot's of great feedback and made some new friends and had some great customers take some of my work home, potential commissions:O) So it was a good weekend and once I got over being grumpy on Fri and feeling better I enjoyed it:O) I did not take lots of pictures yes I forgot my camera and then walking was not easy my feet are still numby and my hands so I sat and jumped and ran from a WASP that would not leave us alone:( We finally brought our wasp Spray and killed it!!!:O) Marta has awesome property that she has opened up to allow us artsy people use and sell our wares and she has a great shop on the property that has awesome stuff shabby chic and just tons of treasures that she displays so beautifully!!!! A great big porch with more treasures it is a fun time I meet new vendors and they become friends and see old friends and chat:O) My great hubby helps me out and is so patient. The wind tried to play havoc on us, it won one of my paintings was ruined but I will repaint on another substrate. And I also bought lots of GOODIES!!! A desk from back in the day for 15.00!!! A chandelier for 30.00!!! and a bucket for flowers 12.00 necklaces for 12 and 15.00 from a great vendor and friend:O) a birdhouse and stool from Marta's shop and still need to go and buy more!!!! Oh and a chair for 8.00!!!! I know great finds:O) Well off I go to rearrange and do some gardening all my art is put bak in it's spots I never can relax til all is put away that same day!!!:O) But today is for gardening:O) have a great Sunday:O)
